So far, the winner of the Democrats’ process of nominating a presidential candidate has been Donald Trump, whose chances of being re-elected have been on a tear lately. This has been good news both for equities as well as for the US dollar. The Democrats may be repeating the same “problem” as the Republican party in 2016. If the establishment Democrats do not wish a far-left outsider (Sanders) to become their presidential nominee, they ought to prune the field of candidates. And do so quickly. It may be that it’s Biden who is pressured to drop out of the race.
